About Me – Atul Lathiya

Hello there, I’m Atul Lathiya.

If you and I were sitting across from each other over a hot cup of chai, this is how I’d tell you my story.

I’m 56 years old, born and raised in India, and for most of my life, I was a businessman. Business was my world—it gave me challenges, sleepless nights, victories, setbacks, and above all, lessons I carry with me to this day.

Running a business in India isn’t easy. It takes courage, risk-taking, and sometimes a bit of madness. Over the years, I saw markets change, people change, and even myself change. Some ventures succeeded, some didn’t—but every single one shaped me into who I am today.

After decades of working hard, I decided to step away from the daily hustle. Many call it retirement. I like to call it a new beginning.

Because here’s the thing: I don’t believe in “retiring” from life.

Starting Over at 56

When I stepped back from business, people asked me, “So Atul, what will you do now?”

For a while, I didn’t have an answer. Then it struck me—I’ve spent a lifetime gathering experiences, stories, and lessons. Why not share them? Why not put them into words, so they live on long after I’m gone?

That’s how blogging entered my life.

Blogging, for me, is like sitting down with friends and talking—sometimes about serious things like resilience and mindset, sometimes about lighthearted things like travel, culture, or just life’s little joys.

At 56, I’m not chasing numbers, fame, or recognition. What I’m chasing is connection. If someone reads my words and feels inspired, understood, or even just a little lighter, that’s success for me.

What You’ll Find Here

On my blog, you’ll find pieces of me scattered across different topics:

  • Stories from my business years – what they taught me about life and people.
  • Personal growth reflections – simple lessons about staying motivated, resilient, and open to change.
  • Travel tales – because every trip is more than just places; it’s about people, culture, and memories.
  • Everyday wisdom – thoughts that come to me during walks, conversations, or quiet evenings.

It’s not a professional magazine, and it’s not meant to be. It’s my corner of the internet where I can be real, honest, and human.

What I Believe In

If I had to sum up my philosophy in a few lines, it would be this:

  • Gratitude makes life richer.
  • Learning doesn’t stop at any age.
  • Relationships are the real wealth.
  • Adapting to change keeps us alive.
  • Giving is more fulfilling than taking.

These are the values I’ve carried from boardrooms into my daily life, and now into my writing.

Beyond Blogging

Of course, life isn’t only about words. When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me:

  • Reading a good book or article.
  • Exploring new places—whether it’s a bustling city or a quiet village.
  • Spending time with family and old friends.
  • Enjoying long walks that clear the mind.
  • Reflecting on how far I’ve come—and how far I still want to go.

I may be 56, but trust me, there’s still a spark in me to learn, explore, and create.

Why I Write

At this stage of life, I’ve realized something important: the legacy we leave behind isn’t just in the businesses we build or the money we earn—it’s in the lives we touch.

That’s why I write.
Not as an expert.
Not as a teacher.
But simply as a fellow traveler on this journey of life.

If my words make you pause, smile, reflect, or feel a little inspired, then I know I’ve done something meaningful.

Final Words

So that’s me, Atul Lathiya—a retired businessman, a blogger by passion, a lifelong learner, and above all, someone who believes that every stage of life is a chance to begin again.

Thank you for being here and taking the time to read my story. I hope you’ll join me as I continue sharing little pieces of wisdom, stories, and experiences from my journey.

After all, life is more fun when we share it.
